I love there call feature. I always have a lot of questions I need to ask and they always know it. Sometimes I ask them to do stuff to my site even when they`re not suppose to, but they do it anyway.

I also was a long time customer. My email was being used for spam, the top tech support guys claimed it was my code, which I changed several times. I eventually used a Gmail account and didn’t have a problem afterwards. Then they couldn’t get their billing together, claiming my card was denied, I never had a problem with it to this date. And now, almost 8 months after moving hosts, I get several emails from their support system, auto-responses to messages I sent almost 8 months ago Hosting is bad, they have been hacked obviously and tech support treats you like an idiot. I love Apple and MacOS, I had high hopes for these guys, what a joke.

i was a long time customer who up until they sold company last year was very happy with them. After transition we began to experience more frequent disruptions of service. Late October through early December our email was essentially non-functional about 50% of time due to a combination of frequent DDOS issues as well as some other server problems. While you can get a Tier One support person by phone 24/7, either they are not very knowledgeable or have the skills to help but no access to any real information or ability to change anything wrong in your account. So typically any support involves them putting in a ticket and then you wait at least a week to hear back from someone who can actually help, In addition, since as a business customer we couldn`t function without reliable email, and they were not initially forthcoming about what was happening with this particular server, we decided to transfer. They had blocked customers from backing up c-panel themselves but after a week they did create a c-panel backup. But the file was set so that only the creator had permission to download. After days of calling to get permissions changed, I had a tech friend of my own go in and see the problem code, identify it and write the code to correct it. That way, fixing problem would take less than a minute. However, Tier One support had no access or ability to do this and it took 10 days for them to finally correct problem. (And by then file was completely out of date and I had given up and transferred our 12 accounts manually, which took an entire day.) Ultimately, our company not only lost business and $$ from the periods where emails didn`t come through, but wasted about 15 hours of time between dealing with unresponsive tech support and having to manually transfer everything. And though they have a 99.9% uptime guarantee and our email was down days on end and partial days the remaining part of 6 weeks (about 50% uptime), when I asked for a refund of the many months I had prepaid, let alone the month I paid and didn`t get the service promised, I was told i might get a third of the unused months back but no promises (it is under consideration). Not even an apology or mention of the outrageously poor performance we experienced that completely went against what they claim they deliver. I`m sad to see a good company go bad, but it has, and glad I switched.

At least twice a year I experienced disruptions of service, with my site being down for 5-7 days (that`s the amount of time it took customer service to fix the issue, once they escalated it to higher tech support). Recently the Shared SSL URL that I`ve been using for years in order to embed my pages onto Educational platforms such as Blackboard and Canvas stopped working. A week later I was informed that change of policy that removed the Shared SSL URL permanently from the services I had subscribed for. In other terms:
1) They removed a service, without giving their customers any notice.
2) It took them a week from the moment I submitted a ticket to the moment they informed me that the disruption was just a result of a new policy.
3) They refused to refund the unused portion of my subscription, as I was on the second year of a 3-year plans.

I used MacHighway for many years, mostly because I did not want to take time to find a better provider and when there were not problems it would work for months on end. But whenever they did not work, it was always considered to be the user rather than technical issues with the service.
I have used Macs since the early 90`s and done all my own work on them, so know the Mac better than most, including most MacHighway support, so the default to user failure always galled, especially since the problem always turned out to be on their side.
The most recent was spam. I started getting loads of it pretty suddenly with several addresses and none with 2 others. Their SpamAssassin did not really help. Tried their fancy spam service for $6.49/month and it fixed most, but I could not interact with it to see that it was not filtering good messages and now my price was 11.50/mo. Many support emails, and some of the guys really tried, but within their culture, the user is always at fault so it got irritating. Finally I was told I had one month left of service. I was fired. I was costing them too much time for something they would/could not fix.
I setup with Little Oak, who`s support to date is quite knowledgable. I have a handful of spams/week with the exact same email addresses and SpamAssasin set at 10 (less aggressive than default) whereas, with it set at 3-4 on Machighway I had 100 or more spams a day from 3 addresses.
Still my fault at MacHighway, I am so glad they stimulated me to finally move.

Worst hosting site known to man. Techs are rude, the people are most unhelpful. Our site was hacked (it was a word press site), and our domain was spamming. They took the site down, which I understand. When someone went to our site it said it was "SUSPENDED". We got our webmaster on the issue immediately. They refused to let us log into Cpanel so we could access the files to resolve the issue.
Essentially, they took us down 3 different times with only an email as notice, not even to my business email to a back up personal email account.
Then they kicked us off the site, we asked for access to get a copy of the data and they refused. Asshats! 34% of our business comes from the website. They were unhelpful, unprofessional, just absolute jerks! Do NOT recommend anyone using them. They`ve done the same thing to a couple of clients we referred to them. We won`t be referring our clients to them any more.
